What makes me qualified to write
🎓 I pulled off 5 years of rigorous training in Statistics during my bachelor's and master's courses at the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. So, I understand quite a bit of statistical jargon.
I have been fortunate enough to continue my academic journey by pursuing doctoral research from the same institute. Collaborating with some amazing people led me to contribute to some papers (you can find more at my Google Scholar profile if you’re interested! )
I also work at SysCloud as the Principal Information Researcher. My role includes researching innovative algorithms, designing proof-of-concepts, and leading all Data Science projects. Throughout this 3 years journey, I have been able to grasp some familiarity with software terminologies.

Through my academic journey and industry experience, I've observed a gap in understanding between researchers and practitioners: like the distinction between the wizards and the muggles in the Wizarding World.
A data scientist is someone who knows more statistics than a computer scientist and more computer science than a statistician.
